ABOUT BERRYHILL, HOFFMAN & GETSEE

 
Our firm, Berryhill, Hoffman and Getsee, P.A. was established in 1976 under the name Berryhill and Hoffman, P.A.  Even though the firm has evolved and changed through out the years, the one common thread has been Michael Berryhill and David Hoffman and has remained so for the last 33 years.  Mary Getsee joined the firm in 1988 as a paraprofessional and later received her certification as a CPA.  Mary became a partner in 2002. 

We take seriously our role as an employer in the community.  We have been successful in establishing a team of highly trained staff providing quality training and promoting the pursuit higher education.  The partners believe that we have the best staff in Ocala, Marion County. Our work environment is family oriented.  We follow the rule that if we treat our staff well and give them our best, they will in turn give their best back to the firm.  

The firm is a member of the Ocala Marion County Chamber of Commerce, North Magnolia Merchant Association, the Business Valuation and Litigation Support Group, and the Downtown Business Alliance.  We are active as a firm and individually in groups and organizations through out the community.  The partners and staff participate in various local organizations including United Way, Rotary Club, Altrusa International of Ocala, Junior Achievement of Marion County, Leadership Ocala/Marion County and Emerging Leaders of Ocala. Our staff gives annually to the Salvation Army food drive and donates gifts at Christmas to children in need.  We have volunteered as a group to ring the bell during the Salvation Army kettle drive.  

Berryhill, Hoffman and Getsee, P.A. is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Florida Institute of Certified Public Accounts.  We participate in the Peer Review Program of the Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
