DAVID M. HOFFMAN, CPA, CVA
David Hoffman is also a founding member and partner of Berryhill, Hoffman, and Getsee P.A. David earned his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Florida. He has been a practicing Certified Public Accountant for over 30 years, providing expertise to the firm in areas of business development planning and consulting along with tax reporting and planning which includes estates and gift tax. Part of his practice is dedicated to business valuation and litigation support. David is a current member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
David is also the founding member of the Business Valuation and Litigation Support Group. He received his education and training in valuation and litigation support from the National Association of Certified Valuation Analysts’ Business Valuation and Certification Training Center and the Institute of Business Appraisers’ “Essentials of Business Appraisal” workshops. David is a Certified Valuation Analyst (CVA) and member of the Institute of Business Appraisers (IBA). He has performed hundreds of business valuations for business planning, estate and gift tax, transactions, and buy/sell agreements. David has provided litigation support, serving as an expert witness in cases relating to Eminent Domain, Divorce, Shareholder Disputes, and Economic Damages. To facilitate knowledge and understanding of his practice, David has performed educational speaking engagements in the community. These include “Tax Affecting S-Corps in Business Valuations” for the Pusateri Estate Planning Symposium and “Construction Accounting and How to Increase Your Chances of Getting Bonded” at Ring Power Corporation in Ocala, Florida. When not in the office, David is most likely to be enjoying one of his hobbies which include reading, running, golfing, and spending time with family and friends. He is a past president of the Optimist Club of Ocala and has volunteered for the Big Sun Youth Soccer League and Highlands Youth Baseball League.
